Christopher S. Stone

Chris Stone has been an Illinois registered lobbyist for 9 years, and worked on the staff of the Speaker of the Illinois House for two years prior to moving to private sector governmental consulting as the Director of Government Affairs for Romano Bros. Beverage Co./Southern Wine and Spirits in Chicago, Illinois in 1996.  After working at short time at Romano Bros. Chris designed and implemented a strategic plan to reorganize the association that represented most of the state wine and spirits distributors and left Romano Bros. to work for the now Wine and Spirits Distributors of Illinois (WSDI) association in 1998.  After spending two years as the Director of Government Affairs for WSDI, Chris decided to move to Springfield in August of 2000 with his family and opened Governmental Consulting Solutions, a governmental affairs consulting business. 


Chris is married to Dr. Erin Stone, an OB/GYN physician and has three young daughters, Caitlin, Meghan and Ava.  He was born in San Diego, California,  attended Wheaton Central High School, Arizona State University and The John Marshall Law School. 


James A. Riemer Jr.

Jim Riemer served as the Deputy Director for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources prior to joining Governmental Consulting Solutions in April 2004.  Prior to his work at the IDNR, Jim was the campaign manager for a U.S. Senate Candidate and was Executive Assistant to the Illinois State Comptroller.  Jim also served as the marketing director for an engineering firm before his employment with the State of Illinois.

Jim resides in Springfield, Illinois and is married to Laura.  They have two children: Jimmy & Olivia.
